International festival of amateur choirs is held every year in the organization of the Dubrovnik chamber choir, and with the support of Authorities and Tourist board of town of Dubrovnik.

Aim of this Festival is to promote «a capella» singing, and to enrich Dubrovnik’s cultural life in autumn.

The festival is imagined as the three-day presentation of amateur choirs from all around the world.

Choirs perform «a capella» compositions of the given musical periods, with the special accent on compositions of a national character.

On that way, all participants have a chance to present the cultural heritage of their country, their tradition, folk-customs and everything that is narrowly bonded with the identity of certain nation, and is able to be expressed through the music.
